FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM

Design of basic fire protection systems requires an understanding of the facility and its operations.
Knowledge of the Owner’s requirements as well as the requirements of the owner’s insurance underwriter is necessary for the design of fire protection systems for a facility. Coordination with the local fire and water departments is also an important step in the design process.
Spectracon provides drawings and specifications for a multitude of fire protection systems including wet-pipe, dry-pipe, preaction, FM-200, wet mist, and others. PTA engineers are not, however, certified sprinkler designers.
